Dedicated line for the micro-extrusion of mono-lumen, multi-lumen and functionally differentiated medical tubing. Three-layer and multi-layer configurations enable the integration of multiple functions within a single tube. Precise control of temperature, output rate and extruder synchronisation ensures layer stability. High wall thickness uniformity and controlled interlayer adhesion are achieved, even when processing different materials.
Dimensional range and tubing configurations:
- Indicative outer diameter range: from 0.38 mm to 14 mm.
- Support for: mono- and multi-lumen tubing, bump tubing, graduated tubing and tubing for variable flexibility applications.
- Tubing suitable for subsequent moulding processes (balloon tubing).
Processable materials
The lines are designed for processing a wide range of medical-grade technopolymers, including: PA 6 / 66 / 11 / 12, HDPE, LDPE, PEBAX, PVC, TPE, PEEK, PSU, PPS, POM, PUR, EVA, PP, PVDF, PET, PETG, PBT, PS.
Typical medical applications: gastrointestinal devices and dialysis, vascular protection and cerebral drainage, pain therapy and tracheotomy, urology and tumour ablation, haemodialysis, peel-away and introducers, balloon tubing for interventional devices.
